️ Masterpiece (Terms and Conditions Apply)
— A Poem from the Frontlines of Craft
There are poems that we write in silence.
And there are poems that answer noise.
Masterpiece (Terms and Conditions Apply) is the latter.
It was not written to soothe, flatter, or entertain. It was carved from an old manuscript I am reworking—one forged in fire and sharpened by years of witnessing the collapse of poetic standards into a curated slush of self-congratulatory dullness.
This poem is satire, yes—but it is also an elegy for rigor, a lament for discipline, and a hymn to the forgotten joy of true craftsmanship.
It is my answer to the age of “good enough” verse.
To the crowd that applauds effort over excellence.
To the canon that sleeps, the critic that shrugs, the poet that posts before polishing.
And to the brave few who still labor over each syllable as if truth itself depended on it—this one is for you.
Read it not just as a poem, but as a signal flare.
We are not done yet.
