The Real Poetical Life Story

I have little to say of poetry, save this:

The poet is bound by his verse, with only the divine reigning supreme above him!

As You Stand — Learning to Love What’s Real
As You Stand — Learning to Love What’s Real There’s something sacred about seeing someone just as they are. No filters. No performance. No need to prove anything. When I wrote “As You Stand,” it came from a quiet realization — that love isn’t about fixing, or idolizing, or chasing perfection. It’s about the quiet miracle of witnessing someone in their fullness. Their flaws. Their strength. Their laughter that doesn’t need permission to exist. We live in a world that tells us to polish ourselves until we shine — but sometimes, what shines most are the rough edges we refuse to hide. “The way your laughter breaks through doubt like dawn…” That line arrived like a breath after a long silence. Because that’s what real love feels like — relief. The kind that says, you can stop pretending now. Each stanza in this poem is a small act of permission: to be soft, to be seen, to be unguarded. It’s about loving the whole — not the curated fragments we show to survive. It’s about seeing beauty in the cracks and light in the scars. “To love the canvas, not just the paint.” That line might be the most honest thing I’ve ever written. Because that’s the work of love — not to decorate what’s already perfect, but to honor what’s perfectly human. If this poem finds you tired of pretending, if you’ve been trying too hard to be “enough,” this is for you. You are already enough — not tomorrow, not after you heal, not when you become the best version of yourself — but right now. As you stand.
