I have little to say of poetry, save this:

The poet is bound by his verse, with only the divine reigning supreme above him!

Eternal Tether – A Poem About Love’s Infinite Thread

Eternal Tether – A Poem About Love’s Infinite Thread

Some loves don’t fade. They deepen. They change shape, travel through time, and somehow remain untouched by it all. That’s the heartbeat behind Eternal Tether — a poem I wrote in one of those quiet hours where the night feels older than the world itself. It began as a question: What if love doesn’t end with the body? What if it’s the one force that keeps returning, no matter how the stars burn out or how the seasons turn? That thought wouldn’t leave me, and the poem grew from there — not as a grand declaration, but as a kind of prayer whispered into the dark.
“The world may crumble into dust, the stars may tumble from their height, but in this consecrated trust, I’ll chase away mortality’s night.”
Those lines became the center of everything. The idea that even in loss, love carries on — reshaping itself, defying time. I’ve always believed that what we give in love is never lost; it’s transformed. It becomes part of the quiet order of things — the unseen gravity that holds us close even when everything else falls apart. Eternal Tether is, for me, a reflection on devotion — not the kind that binds, but the kind that frees. It’s about the grace of knowing that love doesn’t need eternity promised to it; it creates eternity on its own. Every act of care, every word spoken with sincerity, every moment of stillness shared — they echo. They stay. They make meaning where there was once just silence. We spend so much of life fearing endings. But love, I think, is the one ending that never arrives. If you’ve ever felt someone’s presence linger long after goodbye — in laughter, in a scent, in the sunlight on a familiar wall — you already know what I mean. Love leaves a trace that can’t be undone. It’s the tether that keeps us connected across time, distance, even mortality itself. So this poem is for the ones who still believe — who still reach out, even knowing that everything ends. Because maybe, just maybe, love never does.
