❄️ The Star That Waited
A Poem by The Winter Child Poet
a tiny star, a quiet dawn, and one small light that chooses to stay
Some winter stories feel almost too quiet to hear at first — they arrive on tiptoe, like a small light trembling on the edge of morning. “The Star That Waited” is such a story. It is the tale of a shy little star that could have crossed the sky with all the others… but didn’t. It stayed behind. Not for glory, not for celebration, but for one simple, tender reason:Somewhere in the world, a child would wake before dawn, and that child might need a little light.
This is what makes the Winter Child Poet so precious: the way he sees kindness everywhere, even in a lonely star, even in the hush before sunrise. This poem is a reminder that sometimes the smallest spark is enough to lift a heart that feels alone. If you needed that spark today, I hope this poem finds you.❄️ The Poem
❄️ The Star That Waited by The Winter Child Poet A single star stayed up last night, too shy to cross the silver sky; it lingered near the edge of light as if it wished to hear a sigh. The snow below was calm and deep, a blanket woven soft and slow; the world was drifting into sleep, but still the star refused to go. A little breeze came wandering near, its footsteps quiet, warm, and kind; it whispered, “Why remain up here?” The star replied, “To stay behind.” Read the full poem and analysis tomorrow 22th: https://alkonda.com/2025/11/22/the-poem-of-the-day-41/
Thank you for stepping into this soft winter moment with me. May a tiny star wait for your heart too.
