I have little to say of poetry, save this:

The poet is bound by his verse, with only the divine reigning supreme above him!

The Candle in the Snow

by The Winter Child Poet

There are mornings when a poem arrives before the day does — quietly, without rushing, without demanding anything. The Candle in the Snow came exactly like that. Not as a proclamation, not as a lesson, but as a small flame trembling in the middle of a white world. The Winter Child Poet always sees light in places where grown eyes have forgotten to look. For him, winter is not just cold; it is full of secret miracles waiting to be found if we walk gently enough. In this poem, he discovers a single candle glowing in the snow. No explanation. No hand placing it there. Just a soft flame surviving where nothing warm should exist. And somehow, that tiny light becomes a whole message. It reminds us that hope often begins quietly. That sometimes the softest glow is the most faithful one. That even in the coldest seasons, something good is still alive, still warm, still trying its best to shine for us. When I wrote the poem, I felt that familiar Winter Child magic — that quiet truth that some light survives not because the world protects it, but because it refuses to give up. May this little candle bless your day with gentleness and warmth. Sometimes, one small flame is enough. rRead the full poem and analysis tomorrow 30th: https://alkonda.com/2025/11/30/the-poem-of-the-day-49/ — Al Konda
