I have little to say of poetry, save this:

The poet is bound by his verse, with only the divine reigning supreme above him!

The Lantern of Little Hopes

by The Winter Child Poet

Tonight I walked the snowy lane again, the one where the frost makes everything quieter than it truly is. Out there, in the stillness, lanterns were trembling with little lights — the kind that never grow loud, but somehow know how to stay alive. I have always believed that hopes are small on purpose. If they were too bright, we would look at them only from afar. But when they are tiny — no larger than peas, no heavier than snowflakes — we dare to hold them in our hands. We dare to warm them. We dare to keep them close. In this poem, the child carries a lantern filled with those little hopes. They flutter inside like shy winter birds, afraid to fly too high, yet certain they belong in the cold night where someone might need them. And when the elves gather — timid, curious, wanting to believe — the lantern glows a little stronger, as if recognizing their hearts by name. Something beautiful happens whenever hope is shared. It does not divide; it multiplies. Even the snowfall leans in, falling more gently, as though the sky itself wishes not to disturb so delicate a light. I wrote this poem to remember a simple truth: that small hopes are not lesser hopes. They are the ones we can carry with us, the ones that fit in our pockets and palms, the ones that guide us through winter nights when nothing else does. If you are walking through a cold season of your own, may a tiny lantern — perhaps no larger than your courage — find its way into your hands tonight.
