I have little to say of poetry, save this:

The poet is bound by his verse, with only the divine reigning supreme above him!

The Footprints Made of Light

The Footprints Made of Light

by The Winter Child Poet

Some mornings feel like a quiet invitation.

You step outside, and winter greets you not with cold,

but with a whisper —

a hint that something tender has passed through the world before you woke.

Today’s poem begins with that kind of morning.

At dawn, the Winter Child finds a trail of glowing footprints pressed into the snow.

No creature he knows could have made them.

The steps are too soft, too warm, too full of light.

And yet there they are — shimmering like a path drawn by the first breath of the sun.

Instead of being afraid or trying to explain it,

the Winter Child does what he always does:

he kneels, looks closely, and listens.

There is something beautiful about the way he approaches mystery:

without hurry, without doubt, without the desire to own it.

He simply lets the wonder arrive on its own terms.

The footprints lead him to a small shed,

and there the light speaks:

“Some journeys leave no sound behind,

but mark the heart in softer ways.”

I love this idea —

that not everything meaningful announces itself loudly.

Some experiences are quiet.

Some miracles walk lightly.

Some truths reach us not through explanation, but through presence.

The footprints fade as the sun rises,

but something bright stays with the Winter Child.

A warmth that can’t be named,

but can be carried.

Maybe you’ve felt that kind of moment too —

a passing light that changed you,

even if no one else saw it.

If so, then this poem is for you.

May your day hold a quiet glow.

May you follow the traces that lead inward.
