The Real Poetical Life Story

I have little to say of poetry, save this:

The poet is bound by his verse, with only the divine reigning supreme above him!

The Star That Waited by the Door

The Star That Waited by the Door

by The Winter Child Poet

There’s something about winter mornings that feels like the world is taking a slow breath. The snow settles into its own quiet rhythm, the light rises gently, and everything waits for a small moment of wonder to appear.

Today, that wonder came in the shape of a tiny fallen star.

In the poem, the Winter Child finds it resting right by the cottage door — not broken, not fading, just catching its breath. A small light that fell low enough to be held, and gentle enough to stay.

He doesn’t rush.

He doesn’t make a wish.

He simply cups the star in his mittens and listens.

And that’s where the heart of this poem lives:

some lights fall not because they are lost,

but because they need somewhere quiet to shine again.

The snow leans close.

The frost steps back.

The whole winter world gives this little star space to gather itself.

By the end, the star isn’t a spectacle — it’s a companion.

A tiny lantern of hope waiting right at the threshold,

reminding us that warmth doesn’t always come in grand ways.

Sometimes it sits by the door, softly glowing,

waiting for the right hands to see it.

If you’ve been moving through a cold season,

may this poem meet you the way the star meets the Winter Child —

gently, quietly, and right where you are.
