The Real Poetical Life Story

BLOGGER

I have little to say of poetry, save this:

The poet is bound by his verse, with only the divine reigning supreme above him!

Covenant of Ember — When Love Chooses to Stay

Covenant of Ember — When Love Chooses to Stay

Not all love burns bright.

Some love burns low — and refuses to die.

Covenant of Ember is about the kind of promise that survives the cooling. When thunder closes doors. When doubt whispers. When time begins its quiet work of dulling what once felt untouchable.

The ember in this poem is not romance. It is resolve.

It is the moment when the hand trembles — and closes anyway.

There is something deeply human in that admission:

“though once my hand shook in the dark.”

This is not the language of illusion. It is the language of someone who has felt fear and chosen commitment.

The poem does not promise protection from storms. It promises protection within them.

It suggests that love is not sustained by feeling alone. It must be fed. Guarded. Kept.

And perhaps most beautifully, it ends not with triumph, but humility:

“I’ll be the hidden hand that shelters flames.”

Not the hero.

Not the spectacle.

Just the one who stays.

That is covenant.
