Lumen Lullaby
By Al Konda
Some love poems try to conquer the sky.
Lumen Lullaby walks under it quietly.
It speaks of the kind of love that does not shout its name into the heavens. The kind that does not arrive with prophecy.
It arrives in borrowed streetlight.
In the sound of gravel underfoot.
In the calm that holds when thunder shakes the windows.
“Not miracle—just steady gaze.”
Sometimes love is not the thing that explodes into your life.
Sometimes it is the thing that stays.
