I have little to say of poetry, save this:

The poet is bound by his verse, with only the divine reigning supreme above him!

Severed, Yet Standing

Some wounds come loudly.

Others arrive without a sound.

Severed, Yet Standing speaks of the second kind — the quiet turning away that leaves you standing in a room that no longer holds you.

But the poem refuses self-pity.

It ends not in longing, but in iron.

There is a dignity in surviving what was meant to undo you.
