I have little to say of poetry, save this:

The poet is bound by his verse, with only the divine reigning supreme above him!

Where Silence Stands

Where Silence Stands

By Al Konda

There is a kind of change that does not arrive with noise.

No trumpet splits the air.

No thunder reorders the sky.

The horizon does not blaze with verdict.

And yet something shifts.

In Where Silence Stands, the turning is almost invisible. The blade is present, but sheathed. The wound is present, but no longer burning for spectacle. The figure does not argue with heaven, nor kneel to it. He stands.

And that standing is enough.

The poem moves through restraint. Rivers bend more carefully. Ravens hesitate before flight. Pines release a thinner breath of prayer. The transformation does not begin in the heavens; it begins in the small things.

This is not conquest.

It is alignment.

Silence, here, is not emptiness. It is posture. It occupies space without demanding recognition. It does not raise its voice because it no longer needs to.

The most powerful line may be the quietest:

“Even doubt grew careful of its din.”

Doubt remains. The world continues its mortal spin. But something in the air has recalibrated. Noise loses its arrogance. Certainty softens its edges.

Nothing breaks.

Nothing declares victory.

But nothing remains quite the same.

Sometimes strength is not the storm.

Sometimes it is the stillness that follows it — and refuses to move.
