The First Standing
When something finally comes out… and holds
There’s a moment that comes after you’ve tried to say something—and it didn’t work.
Maybe you said it wrong.
Maybe the words didn’t match what you felt.
Maybe it just… broke.
And then, later, you try again.
Not with more force.
Not with better effort.
Just… again.
And this time, it comes out differently.
It doesn’t fall apart.
It doesn’t slip away.
It stays.
It might not be bigger.
It might not even sound impressive.
But it feels right.
And that’s enough.
Because once something holds like that, even quietly—
you don’t need to question it anymore.
You just let it stand.
