The First Return
When something comes back different
There’s a moment when something you’ve come to understand starts to show up outside of you.
Not in a big way.
Not in something obvious.
Just small things.
A feeling.
A shift in how something sits.
A sense that something familiar isn’t exactly the same.
You don’t try to explain it.
You don’t try to control it.
You just notice it.
And once you do, you can’t really ignore it.
It’s not that the world changed completely.
It’s just… not exactly what it was before.
And that’s enough.
