Sonnet of the Silent Rift
By Al Konda
When something changes without breaking
Sometimes nothing breaks.
But something still changes.
You don’t hear it.
You don’t see it happen.
But you feel it.
A small distance appears.
And once it’s there, it doesn’t go away.
Everything looks the same.
But it isn’t.
