The Raven’s Longing

The raven called— and the question did not end.

It returned.

Again.

And again.

Not asking for an answer— but refusing to leave.

Something appeared— or almost did.

Something reached— or almost did.

And in that almost, the world shifted.

Not outward.

But inward.

Until the question was no longer asked—
